Instructor Course
Become a leader in the dive community and introduce your passion to others! Guide students through their certification courses and support new divers on their journeys. You can be rembursed up to $2,000 from the VA by using one month of your G.I. Bill® benifets once you have compleated the ledership exam for this course.

About the Course
The Instructor Training Course is designed to train and qualify Instructor member applicants. During the course candidate instructors learn effective methods to teach skin and scuba diving in compliance with NAUI diving course standards. The course assures the membership that candidates who receive certification as Instructors have the knowledge, skills, fitness, and proper attitude to do so.
Prerequisites
- Minimum age is 18 years by the water phase of the course.
- Current certification as a Assistant Instructor or Divemaster or other agency leaders.
- Current certification as an Open Water Scuba Diver or the equivalent
- Current certification as a Rescue Scuba Diver or the equivalent
- Current certification as a Nitrox Diver or the equivalent
- Current certification as a Master Scuba Diver or the equivalent
- Current certification in First Aid for the Diving Professional or equivalent.
- A minimum of 60 logged open water scuba dives with a minimum of 30 hours bottom time. Dives shall be varied in environment, depth, and activities.
- Instructor candidates must pass the Instructor Prequalification Examination prior to the start of the instructor training course..
- Medical Approval - Verification of good physical condition as documented by a medical examination and unconditional approval for diving by a licensed physician within the preceding 12 months.

The Scuba Gear You Use
Students must provide their own scuba equipment including scuba-grade mask, snorkel, fins, and boots, buoyancy compensator device (BCD), weights, tanks, wetsuit and computer. Visit our store and we will help you obtain a personalized fit to optimize your comfort in the water!
