Overview

Alabama Blue Water Park (Pelham Quarry) is a shore-accessible freshwater dive site located at 100 Industrial Park Drive, Pelham, AL 35124. The depth at this 26-acre flooded limestone quarry ranges from 4 to 140 feet, with an average depth of 100 feet. Visibility varies by season, being approximately 25 feet in the summer months and 50 to 100 feet in the winter months. In the summer, this site's surface temperature is a consistent 86°F. Throughout the year, bottom temperature is a steady 52 to 52°F, with three thermoclines occurring at various depths. This dive site provides bathrooms, outdoor showers, gear prep tables, and air and nitrox fills. 3 underwater training platforms are available, as well as 2 surface docks. Admission is $30/day for divers.

Underwater Features

This site offers a variety of aquatic life and attractions to dive with. Aquatic life you may encounter includes bass, Japanese koi fish, carp, turtles, freshwater jellyfish, bream, catfish, sunfish, and bluegill. Divers are given the opportunity to explore countless attractions, including fire trucks, cars, an airplane, sailboats, and more!
