Divers Alert Network (DAN) has long been recognized as the world’s leading dive safety association. When you become a DAN Instructor or Instructor Trainer, you join us in making our sport safer for all divers by preventing accidents, mitigating risks and sharing DAN programs with your students.

Become a DAN Instructor

• Be a DAN member and a DAN Pro.
• Be an active scuba diving leader (e.g., instructor, assistant instructor, dive con or divemaster) with your training agency.
• Sign up with our Instructor Trainer and get started.
  • Complete the IQC e-learning modules issued by our Instructor Trainer.
  • Complete the DAN Core Module.
• Complete the Instructor Module(s) for the course(s) you wish to teach.
• Complete the in-class Instructor Qualification Course (IQC) skill sessions with our DAN Instructor Trainer.
• Start teaching upon completion of the course and approval by our DAN Instructor Trainer.

What's included/not included?

• INCLUDED: Tuition for the DAN instructor course
• NOT INCLUDED: Instructor pack ($380 +tax), any prerequisite training i.e. scuba professional, dan member, etc.
